IP experts from academia, courts, private practice, industry, and institutions such as the German Federal Court of Justice, the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and the EPO will present and discuss with you current developments of intellectual property law in Germany, Europe and on the international level.

This year, the special committees and working groups will discuss the following topics:

• Influences of competition law on trademark law
• Relaxed standards for taking evidence in damages actions in antitrust and IP cases: Successes and Disappointments
• Recent judgments of the Federal Constitutional Court and the Federal Court of Justice on recalls and the right to fair hearing
• The injunction in patent law
• Changes required by the new EU Copyright Directive
• The current jurisprudence of the Federal Court of Justice on trademark and competition law
• The spare parts clause in design law
• 17 and the future of platforms

As an international transport and financial center, Frankfurt/Main offers an ideal setting for this year's GRUR Annual Conference. The regional group of Frankfurt/Main has assembled an attractive social programme for you, including visits to the German National Library and Hessischer Rundfunk. Saturday will be highlighted by a visit to the "new" Old Town and the Commerzbank Tower.
