The Draft Data Act – long awaited – will be published by the EU Commission in the first quarter of 2022 The GRUR Expert Roundtable will give a preview on the main issues to be covered by the draft and provide additional input to the discussion on creating an effective legal framework for the sharing of non-personal data in the digital economy. The focus will be on access rights, government access, data portability in cloud services as well as international aspects and applicable law.

The webinar will bring together legal experts in the field of information law and data rights and the discussion should provide first insights into the contribution the Data Act may make to the design of the emerging landscape of data rights and data governance.

The Expert Round Table will take place in the form of a webinar via the video conferencing provider Zoom. After registration we will send you a link for the Zoom meeting and the password by e-mail. You will receive this link one week before the actual webinar.

Please note the recommendations for using Zoom with regard to data protection. You can view the Zoom data protection declaration here.

Please note that the webinar will be recorded so that we can track participation with regard to § 15 FAO.

  • The webinar is free of charge.
  • The webinar is eligible for 3.5 hrs of continued professional education according to § 15 FAO. In case you wish to receive a certificate of attendance please indicate this in your registration. In that case, be aware that we will check your continued participation a couple of times during the event.
